Scott 1. Used. 1854 Queen Isabella 5c Orange. Good colour with four good margins, all clear of frame lines. Circle of Dots cancellation, most commonly found on this issue. Very nice looking stamp and seldom offered so fine. Scott Cat $350.

Scott 2. Used. 1854 Queen Isabella 10c Carmine. Fresh, vibrant colour with four decent margins, all clear of frame lines. Manuscript (pen) cancels not detracting overall appearance. Very fine and lovely stamp. Scott Cat $250.

Scott 2a FORGERY. Used. 1854 Queen Isabella 10c Rose. Fresh, vibrant colour with four very good margins. Bogus Circle of Dots cancel. A very dangerous and deceptive forgery. Main characteristics: The 'E' in 'CORREOS' is virtually missing the middle horizontal line appearing line a 'C'; the circle of pearls is small and gives appearance of it slanting downward; the 'N' in 'FRANCO' is far away from the 'A'; and the letters 'C' and 'O' are very close to each other. Gooding #2F11. Only the second one we have seen of this forgery.

Central vertical crease, not detracting overall appearance. Scott Cat $75.
