Comments A total of 10,000 stamps were originally
surcharged. Nearly all of the original surcharged stamps were re-surcharged
with an additional new value of 1-real in June 1883 (Scott #135). As a
result, this issue is very scarce with majority of known examples being
hole-punched. |
