1-Peseta 25-Centimos
Gooding #51F1; BPA-Sperati (Page 136) Jean de Sperati Forgery. A very dangerous forgery in color
that is a fair match for the genuine but there is a little more red. The
impression is good and there is little sign of loss of white space except in
the horizontal lines of shading. The centre stroke of the ‘F’ of ‘FILIPINAS’
is weak or broken, there is a dot in the upright of the ‘P’, three white
spots in the ‘N’ and a nick on the right of this letter. There is an indentation
on the left of the ‘U’ of ‘UNA’ and there is a white spot in the right leg of
the ‘A’. Die Proofs are also known in colour. |
