Sc14-19

Circa 1863 Addressed to Manila Provenance: Donald Peterson Nigel Gooding Collection Comment: Pair of Genuine 5-cuartos stamps affixed to cover to simulate Double Weight Interior Rate of 10-cuartos. Stamps affixed to cover with attempt to align to original Circle of Dots cancel (where original stamp was removed, with further evidence of original cancel visible from back). Small Blue Baeza Cancel on right not showing the minor flaw to the right of 31 on the left side of the cancel (consistent with pre-1863 usage), further indicating that this cover could not have been issued in 1863 or after. Comex Dictamen stating the cover is a forgery.
