As new stocks had
still not arrived from Spain, it was again
necessary to re-validate the remaining stocks of stamps at hand, by
overprinting them "HABILITADO POR LA NACION" in black.

Note:
The Stanley Gibbons Catalogue indicates that the stamps were issued in
January 1874. A used single of the 1-real was offered in a 1979 auction by Filatelia Hobby, Madrid, with a circular date
cancel of "August 1869". A mint copy of the 5-cuartos and 2-reales
1854 issue, both with Graus Certificates, were
offered for sale by Filatelica Llach
in 1988.

VARIETIES AND ERRORS
1-real issue of 1854 is known to exist with the "CORROS"
error and overprinted "HABILITADO POR LA NACION". (A mint copy was
sold by Philstamps in the May 21, 1988 Postal
