September 1925 Bank handstamp. Some soiling on back with hinge remnants.
Check made out to Mrs Leonard Wood, and endorsed by her on the back. Leonard
Wood (1860-1927) was the US Governor General for Cuba (1899-1902), Governor
of Moro Province (1903-1906), Chief of Staff of the US Army (1910-1914), and
US Governor General of the Philippines between 1921 and 1927 (at the time
this check was drawn). A great historical piece with military linkage.
